Newcomb Spring Announces Company Match of Spring Manufacturers Institute Scholarship
Decatur, GA - April 5, 2011 - Decatur, GA-based Newcomb Spring Corp today announced the Company has awarded a matching scholarship to the child of a Newcomb Spring employee.
The $2,000 scholarship, awarded by the Spring Manufacturers Institute (SMI) through its SMI Regional Scholarship program, was awarded to Ms. Heidi S. Lewis, a student majoring in marketing at the School of Business at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Ms. Lewis is the daughter of Ms. Deborah Turner, an employee at Newcomb Spring of Colorado, one of the company's manufacturing facilities, located in Thornton, CO. Newcomb Spring Corp is matching the scholarship with a $2,000 award to Ms. Lewis.

Newcomb Spring is one of the charter members of the organization, my father and brother both served terms as president, and our company is still an active member. When we became aware that a SMI scholarship had been awarded to the daughter of one of our employees, we decided to commemorate her achievement with a matching gift. We wish her every success."
