COVID-19 Updates

March 25, 2020

A Message to Customers and Business Associates:

At this time, all Newcomb Spring locations have put in place safeguards and operational plans to respond to COVID-19. Our eight manufacturing facilities remain open and we continue to produce and ship orders.

We have minimized any impact on production, and the flexibility of our facility network has allowed us to support increased demands. There is currently no disruption to our supply chain or shipping channels, and we are maintaining an inventory of stock material as well as supplies used in our manufacturing operations.

Please know we take this situation very seriously. Protecting our team members is always our highest priority. However, we also take seriously the role our parts play in critical operations. From medical components to transportation and defense – we manufacture parts for applications which protect health and maintain daily life.

At all Newcomb Spring locations we are exercising extreme caution. Anyone that can work remotely has been doing so. Team members who have been deemed “high risk” are being addressed individually and we are working to identify the best solutions to protect health.

We have been contacting customers to discuss existing orders and upcoming plans. If we have not been able to reach you, or if you would like more information, please call or email the facility you are working with directly.

Our design assistance and customer service teams are also helping customers plan for the future, and you can still contact us for help on projects that may be planned for a time when conditions become more normal.

In all of our efforts Newcomb Spring strives for continual improvement. We understand that you may be experiencing unique circumstances in your daily routines, and we encourage your feedback so we can adapt our processes to better serve your needs.

Please stay healthy and safe.

A Message to Customers and Business Associates:

As you are aware, Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered California residents to stay at home to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The health and safety of our team members is always our first priority, and we have modified our California plant’s operations in light of the development.

It is important to know that there are 16 infrastructure sectors exempt from this directive. Newcomb Spring of California falls into the “critical manufacturing” category, as we serve customers in other “critical” sectors such as Food & Agriculture, Healthcare & Public Health, Defense, and Transportation.

Given the circumstances of this situation, and the increased demands on critical component supply chains, all of our plants will be focusing production on these customer segments for the immediate future.

Our California plant will be open on Monday morning. While office personnel are already working remotely, we will have a reduced production staff in this facility. Team members who have a higher risk of contracting the virus will not be asked to help during this time. As in all of our facilities, great care is being taken to enforce social distancing, maintain cleanliness, protect health and minimize travel.

Our California-based shipping lines and outside service companies remain in operation, and we continue to ship parts. Other plants are also fully operational and shipping orders at this time.

Should the need arise, our network of locations will assist the California team in fulfillment. If you have questions about your order, please contact Newcomb Spring of California directly at 714-995-5341, or email ca@newcombspring.com.

We appreciate your support and understanding during these unprecedented times,

March 18, 2020

At Newcomb Spring we are dedicated to the health and well-being of our customers, team members, business associates and community. Given the continually evolving circumstances related to COVID-19, we wanted to advise you of our current conditions.

All eight of our manufacturing facilities remain open and fully operational. We have a supply of stock material at each location, and there is minimal disruption to production in any of our plants.

We are working diligently to protect all personnel. However, we are mindful of the important role our parts play in the supply chain. With critical medical, transportation, production and machinery applications – our parts are used in assemblies that improve health, deliver food, produce goods and work to keep life as normal as possible.

Well-before the current situation, we have operated with strict standards designed to protect the health and safety of our employees. We have increased access to personal cleaning supplies, shared information about personal hygiene best practices, and have increased supervisory oversight of employee health as part of our daily operations. Attendance policies have also been modified to ensure that any employee who is feeling sick is able to stay at home.

Recently we put in place a temporary no-visitors policy to further reduce risks. If you have a visit scheduled and have not already been contacted by the plant, please call directly at the number below.

At the present time, our supply chain has reported no disruptions. If you are a vendor of Newcomb Spring, and foresee that conditions may change, we ask you to contact the plant you work with directly so we can prepare arrangements.

With eight plants in the United States and Canada, in-place quality certifications across facilities, as well multiple layers of redundancies in both our staffing and equipment, we expect to continue to remain fully operational. Should conditions change, or one location experience a disruption, we have in-place processes to minimize customer impact.

If you would like to contact any of our plants with questions or concerns, you can do so at the number below. We thank you for your support, and for our ability to serve you.
